David Neuhaus SJ is a member of the Jesuit community in the Holy Land. He has taught Scripture at the Seminary of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, in the Religious Studies Department at Bethlehem University and at the Salesian Theologate in Jerusalem since 2000. Born in South Africa, he moved to Jerusalem in 1977. He completed a BA, MA and PhD (Political Science) at Hebrew University, Jerusalem. He then completed degrees in theology at Centre Sevres in Paris and in Scripture at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome. He served from 2009 to 2017 as Latin Patriarchal Vicar for Hebrew-speaking Catholics and migrant workers and asylum seekers in Israel.
