Zoughbi Zoughbi is the founder and director of Wi'am, the Palestinian Conflict Resolution /Transformation Centre in Bethlehem. Wi’am – the Arabic word for “cordial relationships” – offers mediation, training and counseling to help resolve community disputes. Wi’am received World Vision’s International Peace building Award in 2010 for “successfully integrating traditional Palestinian mediation customs with innovative academic models of conflict analysis to address the very difficult circumstances of Palestinians living in the  occupied West Bank.” Zoughbi also received an award from The Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility for his peacebuilding work. Zoughbi has completed an M.A. in Peace Studies from the Kroc Institute at Notre Dame University and has done additional graduate work at Brandeis, Catholic, Eastern Mennonite, Uppsulla Universities. He was a consultant for many international organizations such as the Atlantic Council, Middle East Task Force, Multi Track Diplomacy, International Fellowship of Reconciliation. His work as a nonviolence educator, peacebuilder, mediator has taken him to Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, Holland, Japan, Lebanon, Poland, the United Kingdom and the United States. Zoughbi is the author and editor of many books and articles.
