Tuesdays At Tantur Lecture Series
Tuesdays at Tantur is a joint project of the Tantur Ecumenical Institute and the University of Notre Dame Jerusalem Global Gateway which brings together scholars, researchers, academics, clergy, civil society leaders and other individuals who are either permanent residents or visitors in the greater Jerusalem area to learn and share from guest hosts who share their knowledge and facilitate conversation on a wide range of subjects, including theology, history, sociology, international and civil conflict, peace-making, archeology and more.
Tuesdays at Tantur runs weekly in three blocks of independent weekly lectures, roughly from mid-January to a week before western-rite Easter and Pesach, then from the late spring until late July, and then early September to early December. Schedules are posted on our Facebook page and in the Events section of our website. Tuesdays at Tantur begins at 7 PM in our Chapel Seminar Room unless otherwise noted, and concludes at 8:30 PM. The host or hosts are given 45 minutes of presentation time, with the remainder being dedicated for conversation and discussion with the participants in the audience. Please confirm that a Tuesdays at Tantur lecture is being hosted for the evening before arriving to Tantur.
A shuttle bus from the Old City of Jerusalem is often organized to and from Tantur for our Tuesdays at Tantur lectures, provided a minimum of five persons are registered the day before. When offered, it is a service free of charge. To join our Events mailing list to be notified of Tuesdays at Tantur lectures and to register for a seat on the shuttle bus, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
